Non-Approved Absences. 23.1.3.1. Non-approved (unauthorized) absences will result in loss of compensation for the time absent. The deduction for such absence shall be the fraction of the annual salary that the number of days of absence is to the total number of days in the school year. A unit member who takes unauthorized absence may be subject to disciplinary action.
