Common use of Non-Panel Grievances Clause in Contracts

Non-Panel Grievances. Grievances appealing an employee’s disability separation, presumption of resignation, or disciplinary action other than oral and written reprimands, and grievances challenging an employee’s permanent removal from their bid position. Reassignments in accordance with Article 19, Bid System, are not considered discipline. A Non-Panel grievance must include the following: a. A statement of the pertinent facts surrounding the grievance; b. The date upon which the employee received notification of the action taken; c. A copy of the written notice of the action being grieved; d. The requested remedy; e. The name of the Business Representative or Shop Xxxxxxx representing the grievant; and f. Signature of the Business Representative or Shop Xxxxxxx. A list naming all known affected employees must be attached prior to or at the Step 1 hearing. If the Union files a demand to arbitrate the grievance, the filing will list all affected employees.
