Common use of Non-Regular, Non-Teaching Appointments Clause in Contracts

Non-Regular, Non-Teaching Appointments. Appointments as Librarians or Counsellors are pro-rated according to workloads performed and stipulate commencement and termination dates. Hiring decisions shall be determined by the Institute. The Faculty Association shall be provided with copies of all appointment letters. Non-Regular Librarians and Counsellors: • shall be hired on term appointments, with start and end dates; • shall be eligible for the following benefits: - compensation based on hourly rates for Librarians and Counsellors; - two percent in lieu of benefits; - four percent vacation pay or time in lieu of vacation pay; - sick leave as outlined in Article 20.02; - leaves of absence as outlined in Article 19; - death benefits as outlined in Article 26.
