Noted Professionals. 1. The term “Noted Professional” refers to an Employee, appointed to a bargaining unit position, who is a prominent scholar, researcher, artist, performer, or professional whose employment responsibilities do not lie with another institution of higher education. The appointment period is for three (3) academic years, and may be extended, under unusual circumstances, for up to one (1) additional academic year. The Union will be notified in writing at least thirty (30) days prior to the extension of the appointment.
