Nothing in this. article shall require the school district to assign a teacher to a teaching position which would cause a school building to jeopardize its accreditation standing. If a teacher is properly certified to teach a grade level but does not meet the necessary accreditation standards, the teacher may be assigned temporarily to an area the teacher is certified but not qualified to teach if: a. The teacher submits a university approved program which will demonstrate the teacher will complete all necessary coursework to meet the accreditation standard within 2 years of being assigned to the area. This must be submitted to the Personnel Office no later than the end of the first semester following placement in the area.
