Common use of Notice and Discussion Clause in Contracts

Notice and Discussion. When the Board is considering introduction of technological change which affects the terms and conditions or security of employment of teachers, the Board shall notify the SSTA in writing. Such notice shall be at least 90 days before the date on which the change may be introduced. The Board agrees to discuss the matter with the SSTA during that period, upon request by the SSTA. The notice shall state: a. the nature of the change; b. the proposed effective date of the change; c. the approximate number, type and location of teachers likely to be affected by the change; d. the anticipated effects the change may have on teachers. The Board shall update this information as new developments arise and modifications are made.
