Common use of Notice of Layoff, Discharge or Quit Clause in Contracts

Notice of Layoff, Discharge or Quit. When an employee is laid off or discharged, a written notice giving date and reason for discharge is required at time of termination and such employee shall be allowed fifteen (15) minutes prior to designated quitting time for pick-up of tools. An employee who quits shall also provide the Employer with written notice giving date and reason for quitting.
