Notification and Approval Required. Request and approval must occur at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the use of annual leave except in cases of emergency or unforeseen events, in which case employees shall notify their authorized Employer representative of such absence no later than one-half (1/2) hours after the beginning of their normal workday except in the event of an emergency which would permit such notification.

Notification and Approval Required. ‌ Unless otherwise modified by other sections within this Article, a request and approval to use annual leave must occur before the use of annual leave. An employee shall notify their immediate supervisor or designated representative of such absence no later than one-half (1/2) hour before the beginning of their shift, except in the event of an emergency.
