Notification of Recall. A. The Board shall give written notice of recall from layoff by sending a registered or certified letter to said employee at his/her last known address. It shall be the responsibility of each employee to notify the Board of any change in address. The employee's address as it appears on the Board's records shall be conclusive when used in connection with layoffs, recall or other notice to the employee. B. Any employee so notified shall respond within five (5) calendar days from receipt of said notice whether the employee accepts or rejects the position. If an employee rejects a position for which he/she is certificated to teach and such position is offered consistent with the aforementioned provisions of this Section, the employee shall be considered to have resigned from the employ of the District and all benefits shall cease at that time.
