Notification of Reemployment Opening. An employee who is laid off or an employee who has taken a voluntary reduction and is subsequently eligible for reemployment shall be notified in writing by the District of an opening in the class in which the employee has reemployment rights. Such notice shall be sent by First Class Mail to the last address given the District by the employee, and a copy shall be sent to the Association by the District, which shall relieve the District of its notification responsibility. If the laid off employee chooses not to accept the position in the employee’s class, the employee will forfeit the reemployment right.
