Common use of Notwithstanding paragraphs 9 Clause in Contracts

Notwithstanding paragraphs 9. 1.1 and 9.1.2, any employee in the bargaining unit who is not required to maintain membership or apply for and maintain membership in the union shall, as a condition of the employee’s employment, tender to the union the periodic dues uniformly required to be paid by the members of the union. Membership in the Faculty Association shall not be a condition of employment.
