Common use of On Call/Call Back Clause in Contracts

On Call/Call Back. 16.1 “On call” assignment shall be defined as any time when management has instructed an employee, in writing, to remain available to work during an off-duty period. An employee who is so instructed shall be required to leave word where they may be reached by telephone or by other electronic signal device in order to be able to return to work on short notice.
