Operator I. The general duties of this classification shall include, but not be limited to, working as a member of a field staff and participates in the planning of day-to-day activities in the areas of roads, parks, arenas and facilities. Incumbents generally work at multiple sites during various shifts and monitor preventative maintenance repair and emergency activities for all relevant municipal infrastructure. Incumbents work under fairly close supervision and receive instructions verbally and in writing. Expected to confirm and utilize all tools, equipment and materials required to perform minor maintenance related activities in the areas of roads, parks and facilities. Qualifications include Grade 12 or equivalent, may require a Class 3 License, and some related experience.
