Optional, Mutually-Agreed Upon Professional Learning (MAPL. Time Beginning in the 2019-20 school year, in addition to the professional learning and enrichment supplemental contract in Section 2 above, each employee shall be offered up to fifteen (15) hours of paid time outside the employee’s work day of optional mutually-agreed professional learning (MAPL) time per school year. The use of this time shall be mutually-agreed upon by the staff member and administrator/supervisor at least ten (10) school days in advance should the professional learning activity require that a substitute be secured. Otherwise, the use of such time shall be mutually-agreed to by the staff member and the administrator/supervisor as early as practical but no less than two (2) school days in advance of the professional learning. Such agreement shall not be unreasonably withheld. All such mutually-agreed upon time shall be memorialized on a form (Appendix A). Professional learning opportunities may include, but are not limited to, grade level team collaboration, department collaboration, attendance at professional conferences/workshops, inter-district professional collaboration, District-provided learning opportunities, etc. Identify by item, date of item and signature, if any: On the date indicated below, I reviewed the contents of the personnel file maintained by the District.
