Substitute Rate of Pay. The Union and the District will annually meet in Labor Management and discuss the substitute rate of pay for each classification covered by this Agreement.
Substitute Rate of Pay. If a current employee fills a position of another employee who is receiving a higher base salary, that current temporary employee shall receive the difference in salary for the served time upon completing the required time of five (5) days.
Substitute Rate of Pay. 20.1 Employees requested to fill a higher-rated position receive the higher-rated position’s pay from the first hour of assignment. If temporarily assigned to a lower-rated position, they receive their usual and customary rate of pay.

Substitutes shall be paid the base rate, Step 1, on the wage schedule for all hours worked. Any substitute who was previously a regular employee of the District for at least five (5) years, retired or suffered a reduction in force with the District at the time they separated from employment, shall be paid at their previous pay step (years of service) in the classification for which they are substituting.
Substitute Rate of Pay. The rate of pay of retired paraeducator who works as either a regular substitute paraeducator or as a Long Term Substitute paraeducator will be paid no less than the individual’s paraeducator rate of pay at the time of retirement. Any employee performing work as a Long Term Substitute paraeducator will be paid not less than Step 1 of the Wage Scale. To qualify as a Long Term Substitute, the vacancy must be pre-planned and span 30 continuous work days or more.
