Excess Hours. You agree that as a manager or high technology professional as defined in the Employment Standards Act of British Columbia, your hours of work will vary and may be irregular and will be those hours required to meet the objectives of your employment. You agree that the Annual Compensation described in this Agreement compensates for you all hours worked.
Excess Hours. 9.1 Time worked on proper authority during an averaging period in excess of scheduled hours will be considered as excess hours, and paid at time and one half rates at the completion of the averaging period (2, 4 or 6 weeks). The averaging period will coincide with the pay periods.
Excess Hours. 15.1 If an employee, at the request of the employer, works more than 332 hours in any 8 week cycle, the employee will be entitled to: • Time off in lieu (on an hour for hour basis) of such excess hours worked, taken at the convenience of the employee and the employer within 12 months of it being accrued, and in association with a period of planned leave; or • payment at overtime rates for the excess hours worked, that is, time and a half for the first 3 hours and double time thereafter.
15.2 The employee will have discretion as to which option is to apply in each instance.
Excess Hours. In the event that work in excess of six (6) hours per day for schools on a five (5) day week and in excess of seven and one-half (7.5) hours per day for schools on a four (4) day week schedule becomes available, the School District shall make every reasonable effort to equitably distribute this work among qualified employees.
Excess Hours. Before temporarily reducing the normal work hours of full-time or part- time employees, the Employer shall next reduce the scheduled hours of part-time employees which are in excess of their normal work hours on the affected shift.
Excess Hours. Unless provided herein in other parts of the Agreement, there shall be no additional compensation given, either direct or indirect, for time worked in excess of 8.0 hours per day.
Excess Hours. A. Excess hours rate of time and one-half, computed on the basis of tenths of an hour, shall be paid for all work performed in excess of eight (8) hours in any workday (ten (10) hours for modified work schedules), for all work performed continuously either before or after regularly scheduled hours. Excess hours shall not apply when an employee changes shifts as a result of bidding or the exercise of displacement rights. Posted excess hours will be a minimum of four (4) hours, however, if there is no longer a need for work and the employee chooses to go home he will only be paid for actual time worked if less than the four hour minimum.
B. In the event it is necessary to work part-time employees in excess of their scheduled hours, they will be paid excess hours rates at one and one-half (1½) times the straight time rate only for hours in excess of eight (8) hours per day or forty (40) hours per week. Part-time employees who are forced to work on their scheduled days off will be paid excess hours rates at one and one-half (1½) times the straight time rate for all hours worked.
C. Employees will not be required to suspend work during regular working hours to absorb excess hours. Excess hours will not be posted to backfill an employee’s shift that is moved.
D. Equalization Process
1) Excess hours will be distributed on an equalization process based on Company date of hire and each quarter, a master excess hours opportunity list shall be created. Excess hours will be counted towards equalization with the exception of excess hours: (a) awarded on an involuntary basis; (b) offered but not accepted; (c) awarded due to irregular operations.
2) The equalization list will be set at zero at the beginning of each quarter.
3) Where the Company determines that excess hours are needed, such excess hours will be offered to qualified employees based on the lowest equalized excess hours.
4) This list will include all employees except those who do not want to be called for excess hours (employee must advise their manager in writing if they do not want to be called for excess hours).
5) In addition to the quarterly master list, daily sign-up sheets will be posted to alleviate administration.
6) Excess hours between seventy-two (72) and twenty-four (24) hours of the beginning of the overtime work period will be awarded in order of seniority from either an overtime sign-up sheet or an employee call out list.

Excess Hours. By prior agreement between the principal and the paraprofessional, excess time in lieu of compensatory time and adjusted day may be entered on the employee's time sheet. Employees shall receive straight time for all hours beyond the regular scheduled workday with time and one-half provisions applying for all hours in excess of forty (40) hours during any calendar week.
Excess Hours. Referral Agency may not be able to provide a client with the specified hours authorized in the Client Services Authorization Form for a provided month or set time period resulting in excess hours. Such excess hours may be later provided in a following time period. However, Referral Agency may not use such hours without prior authorization from Company. If Referral Agency wishes to use such hours, Referral Agency must contact Company and request authorization for such. Unauthorized usage of excess hours will not be reimbursed.
