Common use of Order of Layoff and Reemployment Clause in Contracts

Order of Layoff and Reemployment. When a classified employee is laid off, the order of layoff‌ 26 within the classification shall be determined by length of service. The employee, who has been 27 employed the shortest time in the classification plus equal or higher paid classifications, shall be 28 laid off first. Reemployment shall be in the reverse order of layoff.
