Other Approved Leave. Upon application and approval of the appointing authority, an employee may be granted leave without pay. Such leave shall not normally exceed six (6) months. Said periods of leave without pay shall not be unreasonably denied. The employee's seniority held at the time of leaving active service shall remain static except as provided for in Rule 26.
Other Approved Leave. For other approved leaves of absence, the Instructional Employee may continue on the insurance rolls by paying the total monthly premium due the insurance carrier to the Board Treasurer by the twentieth (20th) day of the month preceding the date the premiums are due to the insurance provider. The benefit shall terminate at the expiration of such leave.
Other Approved Leave. A flying line holder removed from a pattern because he/she is proceeding on approved leave, other than annual leave, long service leave, personal leave and jury service is not pay protected.
Other Approved Leave a) Where an Employee who is in receipt of an allowance granted under subclause 4.5.1 and has been so for a continuous period of 12 months or more, proceeds on a period of any approved leave of absence other than annual leave of not more than four weeks, the Employee shall continue to receive the allowance for the period of leave. b) Where an Employee who has been in receipt of an allowance granted under subclause 4.5.1 for less than 12 months and during the Employee's absence no other Employee acts in the office in which the Employee was acting immediately prior to proceeding on leave and the Employee resumes in the office immediately on return from leave, the Employee shall continue to receive the allowance for the period of leave. c) Where an Employee who is in receipt of an allowance granted under subclause 4.5.1 proceeds on a period of any approved leave of absence other than annual leave of more than four weeks, such Employee shall not be entitled to receive payment of such allowance for the whole or any part of the period of such leave.

  • Donor Leave An employee shall be granted the necessary leave of absence with pay for the purpose of donating bone marrow or an organ.

  • Childcare Leave 3.1 An employee shall be entitled to use ten (10) days of sick leave per year for childcare. 3.2 An employee who is adopting a child shall be entitled to use ten (10) days of sick leave per year for the purpose of caring for the needs of the adopted child.

  • Health Leave Any regular employee of the District may, at the discretion of the Board, be granted a leave of absence without pay for reasons of health, such leave to be specified for a period of not more than one year. Such leave may be extended in case of serious health conditions.

  • Family Care Leave In accordance with RCW 49.12 and WAC 296-130, employees shall be allowed to use any or all of their choice of sick leave or other paid time off to care for a family member (as defined above) who has a serious health condition or an emergency condition. Employees shall not be disciplined or otherwise discriminated against because of their exercise of these rights.

  • ▇▇▇▇▇’s leave 22.2.1 In normal circumstances an employee is not entitled to take carer's leave where another person has taken simultaneous leave to care for the same person. 22.2.2 The employee must, if required by the Employer, establish by production of a medical certificate or statutory declaration, the illness of the person concerned and that the illness is such as to require care by another. 22.2.3 The employee must where practicable, give the Employer notice prior to the absence of the intention to take leave, the name of the person requiring care and their relationship to the employee, the reason for taking such leave and the estimated length of absence. If it is not practicable for the employee to give prior notice of absence, the employee must notify the Employer by telephone of such absence at the first opportunity on the day of the absence. 22.2.4 The same considerations in quantum of carer’s leave applicable to part time Employees may be extended to eligible casuals but on an unpaid basis
