Other obligations of the Insured to mitigate or reduce the damage as far as this is possible, and during this process to follow the instructions of the Assistance Service, or in the absence of such guidance to act according to the requirement of conduct generally expected in the given situation; – to inform the Assistance Service of all facts and data arising in relation to the insured event; – to authorise the Assistance Service and the Insurer to carry out all examinations and investigations that pertain to the reasons and circumstances of the insured event, the extent of the damage and the rate of indemnification; – to only change the condition of the insured asset – after the occurrence of the insured event until instructions received from the Insurer to the contrary, but for 60 days from the reporting of the insured event at the most – to the extent necessary for the mitigation of damage; – in the case of theft/burglary or attempted theft/burglary, to also report the insured event to the local police (according to the location of the crime) and to forward the police report thereon to the Insurer. If impeded, the Insured must make the report to the police without delay once the obstacle in question has been eliminated.
