Police Report. For the purpose of this Section, a statement in the form of a written statement or a Q & A Interview.

Mayor ▇▇▇▇▇ discussed jaywalking and safety in Regent Square, a topic which resulted from a Public Safety Committee meeting. The issue is serious, the Mayor said, since people walk from in between cars to cross South ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Avenue. It is hoped that the resurfacing of that street will not cause people to accelerate, although the area is being monitored by the police, according to Mayor ▇▇▇▇▇. It was the Public Safety Committee’s feeling that officers should walk the beat and hand out notices which state that jaywalking is against the law. The Mayor also noted that the Committee wanted to add this type of legislation into current Borough rules, thereby allowing tickets to be written.
