Other Sickness and Disability Leave with Pay Provisions. 1. Employees using leave during periods that include scheduled holidays will be paid their base pay for these holidays and will not be charged for a day of leave.

  • ILLNESS AND DISABILITY 8.0 At the beginning of each school year each teacher shall be credited with ten (10) days of leave, the unused portion of which shall accumulate from year to year to one hundred fifty-five (155) days pro-rated based on the teacher’s regularly scheduled work day/week. The leave days may be taken by a teacher for the following reasons and subject to the following conditions:

  • Disability Leave with Pay (A) An employee who sustains a job-related disability and is eligible for disability leave with pay under the provisions of Rule 60L-34, Florida Administrative Code, shall be carried in full-pay status for up to 40 work hours immediately following the onset of the injury without being required to use accrued leave.

  • Short-Term Leave and Disability Plan (STLDP) Subject to paragraphs 3.4-3.8 below, full-time teachers will be allocated one hundred and twenty (120) STLDP days on the first day of each school year. If a teacher’s employment status is less than full time, the teacher’s eligibility for short- term disability days shall be prorated by the ratio that the teacher’s FTE status is to full time status. Teachers on an unpaid leave of absence are not eligible to access benefits under this article for the portion of the workday for which the teacher is on an unpaid leave of absence. Teachers eligible to access short-term leave and disability coverage shall receive payment equivalent to ninety percent (90%) of annual grid salary (calculated by annual grid salary inclusive of any applicable allowances, multiplied by 90% divided by 194), in accordance with the terms of this central agreement.

  • Extended Disability Leave a. Due to a medical disability, an employee shall be granted an extended leave of absence without pay (subject to Paragraph d hereof) if any one of the following conditions exists:

  • DEATH AND DISABILITY (a) The Employment Term shall terminate on the date of Employee's death, in which event Employee's Salary, reimbursable expenses and benefits owing to Employee through the date of Employee's death shall be paid to his estate.   • Short-Term Leave and Disability Plan Top Up (STLDPT) For teacher absences that extend beyond the eleven (11) sick leave days provided above, teachers will have access to a sick leave top up for the purpose of topping up salary to one hundred percent (100%) under the Short-term Leave and Disability Plan. This top up is calculated as follows:

  • SHORT-TERM ILLNESS AND INJURY AND LONG-TERM DISABILITY Employees shall be entitled to coverage for short term illness and injury and long term disability in accordance with agreed upon regulations which will be subject to review and revision during the period of this Agreement by negotiations between the Parties and included as Appendix A to this Agreement.

  • Employment of Disabled Workers The Union and the Employer acknowledge their obligations to accommodate certain individuals under the Human Rights Code of Ontario and agrees that this Collective Agreement will be interpreted in such a way as to permit those obligations to be discharged.

  • Other Leave Provisions 1. The Board shall provide a substitute for those who serve on jury duty, National Guard and Reserve military duty, and who are subpoenaed to participate in court proceedings in which they are not involved as a party litigant or have an interest in the outcome of the proceeding. The Board shall pay the difference between compensation (excluding a travel allowance) for jury duty and the teacher’s salary if such duty is during teacher employment days.
