Common use of Out-of-Town Medical Appointments Clause in Contracts

Out-of-Town Medical Appointments. An Employee, who is required to attend a medical specialist appointment or a medical service which is unavailable in their community, may use one (1) day of health recovery leave for travel and attending the appointment or service each calendar year. The Employee must give the Employer reasonable notice and provide proof of attendance. Effective January 1, 2021, an Employee, who is required to attend a medical specialist appointment or a medical service which is unavailable in their community, may use one (1) day of health recovery leave for travel and attending the appointment or service per occurrence to a maximum of two (2) days each calendar year.
