Overflights. 1. Each facility will assign overflights operating through ATCT airspace an altitude appropriate for direction of flight. EXCEPTION: Overflights operating on V267/T323 must be at even altitudes northbound and odd altitudes southbound.
Overflights. 1. T214 may be utilized for aircraft transiting GSO ATCT at or below 10,000 feet, right altitude for direction of flight.
Overflights. (1) Unless otherwise coordinated, ZTL will utilize one of the following routings for overflight traffic transitioning southbound through CLT airspace:
A. T203 at 4,000, 5,000, or 6,000 B. T201 at 4,000 or 5,000 (6,000 permitted in North Operation)
C. Over BZM VOR then via a 190 degree heading at 6,000 feet. ZTL must amend the flight plan on this route to indicate BZM direct the next fix south of CLT VOR.
D. Aircraft not RNAV capable may be assigned radar vectors to LOCKS or LOCAS or assigned a 190 degree heading over BZM VOR and advised to expect on course from CLT.
E. Unless otherwise coordinated, ZTL must ensure the flight plan reflects the route being flown.
(2) Other overflight traffic must be between 14,000 to 16,000 and must be routed via V37 or V54 and handed to the appropriate CLT Departure sector.
(3) All other overflight traffic, regardless of altitude, not on prescribed routing as defined above, must be APREQ'd with CLT.
(4) ZTL must clear aircraft landing at Columbia Metroplitan (KCAE) and overflying CLT delegated airspace via CLT V37 CAE, descend them to 17,000 feet, and make the handoff to CLT.
(5) Aircraft departing KHKY filed at or below 16,000 feet whose route will traverse CLT's airspace must be assigned a 180 degree heading climbing to 5,000 feet. ZTL will advise aircraft to expect clearance on course from CLT.
(6) Aircraft landing at Xxxxx County (KSOP) must be cleared direct LOCAS, flight plan route. ZTL must ensure aircraft cross LOCAS intersection at 17,000 feet and handed off to CLT East Departure sector. CLT has control for turns.
(7) ZTL must ensure aircraft landing at Xxxx Army Airfield (KPOB) be cleared direct LOCAS, flight plan route. ZTL must ensure aircraft cross LOCAS intersection at 17,000 feet and handed off to CLT East Departure sector. CLT has control for turns.
(8) ZTL must ensure turboprop/prop aircraft landing at Raleigh-Durham and handed off to CLT East Departure sector. CLT has control for turns.
Overflights. (1) Unless otherwise coordinated, ZTL will utilize one of the following routings for overflight traffic transitioning southbound through CLT airspace:
A. T203 at 4,000, 5,000, or 6,000 B. T201 at 4,000 or 5,000 (6,000 permitted in North Operation)
C. Over BZM VOR then via a 190 degree heading at 6,000 feet. ZTL must amend the flight plan on this route to indicate BZM direct the next fix south of CLT VOR.
Overflights a. D21 and ZOB must accept overflight traffic on flight plan routes without coordination at any altitude appropriate for direction of flight, provided that aircraft do not enter D21 airspace through the shaded areas depicted in Attachment 4 - OVERFLIGHT TRAFFIC & FREQUENCIES.
b. The receiving facility has control for turns on all overflight traffic, subsequent to radar hand off and frequency change.
c. When ZOB issues FL180, or lowest useable flight level, to overflight traffic descending through the top of D21 airspace, D21 shall have control for further descent upon completion of radar handoff and frequency change.
d. BRWNZ Arrival traffic:
i. Jets:
1. ZOB must hand off BRWNZ arrival traffic to D21 prior to MCKOY. D21 must accept hand off prior to XXXXX.
2. Aircraft not handed back off to ZOB Windsor (YQG) sector by RDZON, will be descended to FL180 (or lowest usable flight level) and switched to D21 (frequency 132.02). D21 will issue the descent clearance, and is responsible for hand offs and any coordination with CLE TRACON.
3. Aircraft handed back off to ZOB YQG sector before RDZON will remain on ZOB YQG sector frequency. ZOB YQG sector must issue the “Descend Via” clearance and is responsible for any hand offs and coordination with CLE TRACON.
ii. Props and Turboprops:
1. Must be level AOB 17,000 ft. prior to the D21 boundary.
2. Must not be routed via the BENJO Transition.
e. High-performance tactical aircraft inbound to KTOL, recovering from the north, must be handed off to D21 as follows:
i. Required Route: HHRNT..WASPP..BURDZ..RPTER..
Overflights. (1) ARTCC shall clear aircraft landing CAE airspace via CLT.V37.CAE, descend them to 15,000 feet, and handoff to CLT. CLT shall transition these aircraft to CAE TRACON.
(2) ARTCC shall descend aircraft landing SOP to 15,000' and handoff to CLT. CLT shall transition these aircraft to XXX TRACON.
(3) ARTCC shall descend aircraft landing POB to 15,000' and handoff to CLT TRACON. CLT shall descend these aircraft to 11,000' and handoff to ZDC ARTCC.
(4) ARTCC shall descend prop and turboprop aircraft landing RDU to 15,000' and handoff to CLT. ARTCC shall clear these aircraft via SDZ BUZZY STAR and handoff to CLT. CLT shall transition them into CLT airspace and handoff to ZDC ARTCC.
Overflights. (1) Tower will accept overflights at or above 6,000 feet MSL. Overflights 5,000 feet MSL or below must be verbally coordinated.
Overflights. For aircraft at or above, or requesting at or above, 14,000:
a. ZAU must issue route/altitude as follows and hand off to MKE:
(1) Chicago TRACON (C90) arrivals from HARLY/LNR Sector (See Appendix F):
(a) KORD – ERNNY/MADDI STAR. Cross CHDRR at 14,000.
(b) All Others – BJB..OBK..
Overflights. For aircraft overflying TRACON airspace, Center shall:
(1) Avoid TRACON airspace with the following aircraft:
(a) Luke AFB (LUF) arrivals.
(b) GEU or GYR arrivals from west of TFD.
(2) Route other GEU or GYR arrivals as depicted in Annex 6.
(3) Coordinate aircraft entering TRACON via departure or satellite airspace or exiting TRACON via arrival airspace (i.e. – opposite normal traffic flow).
(4) Issue altitudes as follows:
(a) Aircraft on airways: 11,000 MSL or higher.
(b) CGZ Departures: Climbing to 5,000 MSL.
(5) TRACON shall route CGZ Arrivals via V105 or direct TFD and assign 6,000 MSL.
Overflights a. Aircraft landing in the Dallas/Fort Worth Terminal Area must be routed on airways or a filed STAR, or direct AEX for the filed STAR.
b. Eastbound aircraft, from the ZHU Leeville (24) Sector, landing MCO, PIE, TPA, or DAB, must be cleared to remain north of aircraft landing MIA, FLL, FXE, or EYW.
c. Eastbound aircraft, from the ZHU Leeville (24) Sector, landing MIA, FLL, FXE, or EYW, must be cleared to remain south of aircraft landing MCO, PIE, TPA, or DAB.
d. Westbound aircraft filed over HRV must be cleared to remain north of aircraft filed over XXX
x. Westbound aircraft filed over LEV must be cleared to remain south of aircraft filed over HRV.
