OVERLOADS, EXTRA COMPENSATION. 13.1 Overload teaching shall be permitted only in emergency situations. Extra payment for overload teaching will be paid in accordance with the following base schedule or at the adjunct rate in effect in the Faculty Member’s college, whichever is greater: Rank Per Credit Hour Per Semester Professor $ 1,200.00 Associate Professor $ 1,090.00 Assistant Professor $ 990.00 Instructor $ 900.00 13.2 Overload teaching must be approved in advance by the Xxxx or designee, with such approval being copied to the Xxxxxxx. Whenever a Faculty Member agrees to overload teaching, the Academic Unit Head shall provide the Faculty Member with a written letter of agreement before the Faculty Member begins to teach the course.
