OVERLOADS, EXTRA COMPENSATION. 13.1 Overload teaching assignments are voluntarily accepted assignments by a Faculty Member in excess of his/her regular teaching load as assigned by his/her Academic Unit Head in accordance with the Academic Unit’s Workload Policy. Overload teaching shall be permitted only in emergency situations arising in the Faculty Member’s primary or secondary (if applicable) academic unit(s) or in related units in other colleges of the University. Extra payment for overload teaching will be paid in accordance with the following base schedule or at the adjunct rate in effect in the Faculty Member’s college, whichever is greater: Rank Per Credit Hour Per Semester Professor $1,240 Associate Professor $1,130 Assistant Professor $1,025 Instructor $ 930
