Common use of Overtime Compensation on a Workday Clause in Contracts

Overtime Compensation on a Workday. 39.11 Except for employees to whom the provisions of clause 39.14 apply and subject to clause 39.3, an employee who is required by the Council to work overtime on a normally scheduled working day shall receive overtime compensation at time and one-half (1 ½) for each of the first seven decimal five (7.5) hours of overtime worked by him in excess of his normal work day, and double (2) time for each hour of overtime worked in any contiguous period by him thereafter.
