Common use of Overtime - Rest Period - Lunch Money Clause in Contracts

Overtime - Rest Period - Lunch Money. If an employee is required to work more than one (1) hour but not more than two (2) hours overtime, he or she will be given a fifteen (15) minute paid rest period. If an employee is required to work more than two (2) hours overtime, he or she will be given the same fifteen (15) minute paid rest period mentioned in the above paragraph and, in addition, receive a five dollar ($5.00) meal allowance. This provision applies to overtime in excess of an eight (8) hour day. It is understood that all overtime of less than four (4) hours shall be continuous with the end of the shift, with the exception of a meal period where one is given as defined above.
