Common use of Parental/Child Care Clause in Contracts

Parental/Child Care. A leave of absence up to one (1) year may be granted to any (male or female) bargaining unit member for the purpose of child care. Said leave shall commence upon request of the bargaining unit member. At the discretion of the Board, a one (1) year extension may be granted.

Parental/Child Care. A An unpaid leave of absence of up to one (1) year may be granted to any (male or female) bargaining unit member for the purpose of child carecare of his/her child. Said leave shall commence upon request of the bargaining unit memberdate agreed to by the Employer and the employee. At the discretion of the Board, a one (1) year extension may be granted.It is further provided that:
