Common use of Parental Leave Eligibility Clause in Contracts

Parental Leave Eligibility. An employee who is a parent of a child, who has been employed with LAO for at least thirteen (13) weeks is entitled to a thirty-seven (37) week unpaid parental leave following the birth of the child, or the coming of the child into a parent's custody, care and control for the first time. If the employee is the birth mother and has already completed a seventeen (17) week pregnancy leave, the employee is entitled to a thirty-five (35) week unpaid parental leave.
