Common use of Parental Leave of Absence (Non-Disability) Clause in Contracts

Parental Leave of Absence (Non-Disability). All Regular Nurses covered by this Agreement are eligible to request parental leave related to the birth or adoption of her/his child. If the Regular Nurse is not eligible for State and Federal Family Leave (see 18.3.2), a personal leave without pay may be granted for up to one-hundred eighty (180) days following childbirth or adoption or upon the conclusion of the Nurse’s pregnancy related disability, if any. A personal leave for parental leave purposes will not be unreasonably denied. The Nurse may take the leave without pay or use accrued PTO.
