Parental Leave – Secondary Caregiver. (a) A Full Time, Part Time or Eligible Casual Employee who has, or will have, completed at least twelve months Continuous Service and who will be the Secondary Caregiver at the time of the birth or adoption of their Child, is entitled to up to 52 weeks parental leave, comprising: (i) 1 week paid parental leave; and (ii) up to 51 weeks unpaid parental leave. (b) A Full Time, Part Time or Eligible Casual Employee who will be the SecondaryCaregiver but has not completed at least twelve months Continuous Service at thetime of the birth or adoption, is entitled to up to 52 weeks unpaid parental leave. (c) A Casual Employee who is not an eligible casual Employee in accordance with clause 33.2(a) and who will be the Secondary Caregiver at the time of the birth or adoption of their Child is entitled to up to 52 weeks unpaid parental leave. (d) Only one parent can receive Secondary Caregiver parental leave entitlements in respect to the birth or adoption of their Child. (e) An Employee cannot receive Secondary Caregiver parental leave entitlements where the Employee has received Primary Caregiver parental leave entitlements in relation to their Child.
