Common use of Part I Clause in Contracts

Part I. The association shall have the right to conduct association business on school property when it does not interfere with the workday of the support employee or a scheduled school activity. The association shall have the right to use school buildings for the association meetings, provided that the appropriate requests for the use of school facilities are submitted in accordance with Board policy. The association shall have access to the inner school mail distribution system for distribution of association-related correspondence. The association shall have access to bulletin board space, determined by each building principal, to post association-related notifications to support employees. The association shall have access to office equipment for association business, provided the access to said equipment is approved by the supervisor of that particular equipment prior to its use. The cost of any materials consumed in this process shall be the responsibility of the association. The use of office equipment shall not be done during the support employee's workday. A pool of ten (10) days shall be provided to the association for the purpose of legislative visits, association-related professional meetings, and association business. Written requests for the use of association leave shall be made to the superintendent through the president of the association twenty-four hours in advance of the anticipated absence.
