Past Due Account Sample Clauses
The Past-Due Account clause defines the terms and consequences that apply when a party fails to pay an outstanding balance by the agreed-upon due date. Typically, this clause outlines when an account is considered overdue, the interest or late fees that may accrue, and any additional actions the creditor may take, such as suspending services or initiating collection efforts. Its core practical function is to incentivize timely payments and provide a clear framework for addressing late payments, thereby reducing financial risk and uncertainty for the party owed money.
