Pay for Acting in a Senior Capacity. (1) Any employee who is required to accept the responsibilities and carry out the duties incident to a position or rank senior to that which the employee normally holds shall be paid at the rate for the senior position or rank while so acting. In order to be eligible to act in a position or rank senior to that which an employee normally holds, the employee must possess the qualifications outlined in Schedule “D” of the Collective Agreement. In the event that the senior position bears a multiple step salary range, then the following shall apply: (i) if the employee assigned to act in the senior position has not fully satisfied the promotional standards designated for the senior position pursuant to Schedule "D", then the employee shall be paid at the first step of the pay range; or (ii) if the employee assigned to act in the senior position has fully satisfied the promotional standards designated for the senior position pursuant to Schedule "D", then the employee shall be paid at the second step of the pay range. (2) As soon as possible following December 31 of each year the Corporation shall calculate a per centum amount of pay above the confirmed rank rate based on the total number of days from the preceding year that the employee acted in a rank above their confirmed rank and pay to such employee that per centum difference as an adjustment in salary entitlement for the purposes of the employee’s annual (including statutory) and long service vacation salary.

In Effective 2001 August 21, in order to be eligible to act in a position or rank senior to that which an employee normally holds, the employee must possess the qualifications outlined in Schedule “D” of the Collective Agreement. In the event that the senior position bears a multiple step salary range, then the following shall apply:
(i) if the employee assigned to act in the senior position has not fully satisfied the promotional standards designated for the senior position pursuant to Schedule "D", then the employee he shall be paid at the first step of the pay range; or
(ii) if the employee assigned to act in the senior position has fully satisfied the promotional standards designated for the senior position pursuant to Schedule "D", then the employee he shall be paid at the second step of the pay range.
