Split Shift. Except as otherwise provided in subsection B. below, any employee required to work a split shift shall be paid at a rate of five percent over and above his/her regular straight-time hourly rate of pay for the entire number of hours so worked. For purposes of this subsection "split shift" is defined as any eight hour daily tour of duty taking more than nine and one-half consecutive hours to complete.
Split Shift. 10.07 Notwithstanding all of the above provisions of this Article, it is agreed that work may be scheduled between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m., so as to maximize the daylight hours. To utilize these hours the intention will be to split the shift with the first shift working eight (8) hours; or more during make-up situations and the second shift starting working during the second half, again with eight (8) hours as being the shift length except under make-up conditions. No premium normally due to shift work shall apply under this split shift situation.
Split Shift. A work day assignment which includes two work periods broken by at least two duty-free hours shall be compensated on the basis of $80.00 per month.
Split Shift. No employee shall be scheduled to work a split shift.
Split Shift. The employee’s total hours of work shall not exceed their normal daily hours, however, a break in work shall occur during the shift which will result in a meal break in excess of two (2) hours. There shall be no compensation for this break in shift. The entire regular shift must be completed within a 12 hour period. The Employer shall advise the Union when a split shift is to be scheduled on a regular basis.
Split Shift. Where an employee works a split shift, the shift shall be completed within twelve (12) hours of commencing such shift.
Split Shift. An employee assigned to and who actually works a split shift shall receive shift differential based on the time of the beginning of each half shift in accordance with times specified in Section 13.3.
Split Shift. There shall be no split shifts scheduled except by mutual agreement at the local level. Should the split shift obviously benefit the Employer, as determined by examining the alternatives such as paying overtime or shift premium, or the hiring of additional staff, the Employer shall pay a meal allowance or provide a meal voucher should the interval between the two portions of the shift be two (2) or more hours.
Split Shift. When hours of work regularly assigned are split by two 38 (2) or more hours for three (3) or more days of a normal workweek.
Split Shift a regular assignment containing 2 tours of duty separated by time off duty in between two tours of duty within a 24 hour period. [Example assignment # 40 is an assignment, within which are two (2) tours of duty in a 24 hour period. (i.e. 40A and 40B).]
