Wages and Salaries. The wages and salaries for Unit employees have been negotiated in good faith between the Union and the District and shall be as set forth in Appendix A of this Agreement. The wages and salaries set forth in Appendix A are intended to, and do, meet any prevailing wage obligations which are or may be imposed upon the District.
Wages and Salaries. Wages and salaries are attached to and incorporated in this Agreement as Appendix A. Such salaries shall be paid for all hours authorized and worked as a Teacher Assistant.
Wages and Salaries. 11.01 Wages and salaries as set out in Schedule A shall apply and form part of this Agreement.
Wages and Salaries. 21.1 Attached to this Agreement and forming an integral part thereof shall be Hourly Wage Rates Schedule "A" and Student Hourly Wage Rates – Schedule B.
21.2 For the same period of time, an employee shall not receive payments under more than one provision of this Agreement except for shift premium and overtime, and with the understanding that payment of regular wages for time worked on any holiday shall not exclude payment for such holiday.
21.3 Once assigned to the step of the Grade for any position on Hourly Wage Rates – Schedule A, part time employees shall progress to the next step after having worked 1820 or 2080 regular hours from the date of assignment depending on whether the employee is in a position that is required to work seven (7) or eight (8) hours per day respectively. The part time employee shall progress to each subsequent step on this basis until Job Rate is reached.
21.4 For hours worked up to and including the second Friday, an employee shall be paid by direct deposit on the Thursday following the pay period of every second week. On each pay day, each employee shall be provided with an itemized statement of wages and deductions. Electronic pay statements will replace paper pay statements by no later than December 31, 2013. Sick and overtime balances shall be included on the statement of wages and benefits in addition to vacation balances. Sick balances shall be regarded as approximate values and subject to reconciliation in accordance with the collective agreement. All balances shown shall be subject to verification by the employer before any payment is processed.
21.5 Labour Market Wage Adjustments A labour market wage adjustment may be determined by the Employer to supplement a position’s evaluated rate, when and if it is the Employer’s opinion that such an adjustment is required. In the event the Employer introduces a labour market wage adjustment, CUPE Local 4700 (Haldimand) shall be notified and the adjustment shall continue in effect for all employees assigned to the position until the Employer decides that the conditions which gave rise to the adjustment no longer exists. The Employer must provide six (6) months notice to the affected employees and the Union of any reduction in the adjustment. Wages and Salaries. 5:01 The salaries and wages to be paid to each member shall be in accordance with the rate of pay for each position as set forth in Schedule "1" annexed hereto and forming part of this Agreement.
5:02 Members' compensation shall be paid by means of an electronic bank deposit to a financial institution of the member's choice provided the institution is a member of the Canadian Payment Association. Pay stubs for members on electronic bank deposit shall be made available to all members in all units not later than 7:00 a.m. on payday.
(a) Whenever a member is assigned to and performs all the regular duties of a higher position for a temporary period not less than one full shift, such a member shall be paid the minimum rate of the higher position or awarded an increase of five per cent, whichever is greater, for all such time so worked. A member who is authorized to work through the lunch hour and to leave an hour before the end of the tour is nevertheless entitled to the higher rate.
(b) The Board and the Association recognize the desirability of fair distribution of opportunities to work for temporary periods in higher classifications. Therefore, in making such assignments from amongst members in the next lower classification in the same section, the Supervisor will consider and take into account the extent to which the member has had such opportunity in the past, the duration of such temporary assignment, the level of performance of the member in his/her regular classification as well as the capacity of the member to perform the work of the higher classification.
5:04 The foregoing alternate rates provision shall apply to periods during which the member is absent on paid leave, on sick pay, on paid holidays or on annual vacation, provided such member has been continuously paid at such alternate rate for at least three months immediately prior to such absence on paid leave. Such alternate rate will be paid only to the extent that it would have been paid had the member remained at work.

(b) Employees who are members of the skating instruction staff as of date of ratification will be assigned to the pay rate that they are at presently and progress through the range thereafter. Employees hired after the date of ratification will be placed at the minimum of the range and proceed through the range thereafter. Employees will be credited with the hours worked since the date of their last increment.
(c) Employees shall progress to the next highest pay level once they have completed 300 hours of work.
(d) Employees will be paid for actual hours of instruction time with a one (1) hour minimum. At the end of each lesson set, each Skating Instructor may record an additional four (4) minutes per registered participant per lesson set for the purposes of preparation and administration of the lessons. This includes but is not limited to paperwork related to:
Wages and Salaries. 13:1.1 Employees will be paid on a two-week payroll basis. All payments will be made by direct deposit every second Friday to the bank or credit union of the employee’s choice located within the School District. A pay statement will be provided following the end of each two-week period detailing the gross pay and deductions. It is the employee’s responsibility to keep the Human Resources Department notified of his/her current address, telephone number and bank account number.
13:1.2 Regular rates of pay for categories covered by this Agreement shall be provided for in Schedules “A”-Wages and Allowances, which follows and forms part of this Agreement. These Schedules shall not bind the Board to create or fill any position within the classifications set out therein.
13:1.3 When a new classification of employment is established or a new position(s) is created within an existing classification for which rates of pay are not included in Schedules “A” of this Agreement, such position(s) shall be subject to negotiation between the parties. The rate(s) established shall be retroactive to the date of implementation.
13:1.3.1 If the parties are unable to reach agreement on the negotiated wage rate for the new job classification, then the dispute will be settled through the arbitration procedure of this Agreement.
13:1.4 No employee shall suffer a loss of his/her hourly rate of pay because of the signing of this Agreement.
Wages and Salaries. (a) The City agrees to place employees active at the time of ratification who are working less than eighteen (18) hours per week in the appropriate wage grade of Wage Schedule "A" in effect on December 31, 2009. Placement will be at the step within the wage grade closest to their current hourly rate, without reducing their rate, effective December 31, 2008.
(b) Employees active at the time of ratification who are working fewer than eighteen hours per week who did not receive a COLA increase for their period of employment between the date of certification and December 31, 2008 will be paid a COLA increase for that period. The COLA increases referred to in this clause are the same as provided to the Local 2998 bargaining unit; 3.25% effective January 1, 2007 and 3.25% effective April 1, 2008.
Wages and Salaries. Wages and salaries for all employees shall be in accordance with Schedules "A" and "B" attached hereto and forming part of this Agreement.
Wages and Salaries. (a) During the term of this agreement, the parties agree that the salaries and wages to be paid to each employee shall be in accordance with the hourly rate of pay for each job classification in Schedule 1, provided that the hours of work set out in Schedule 1 are to be used for information purposes only.
9.02 All employees shall, as a condition of their employment, participate in payroll direct deposit. Any employee who so requests shall have his/her pay stub mailed to his/her home address.
