Pay on Temporary Assignment, Lower Rated Job. When an employee is temporarily assigned (for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days) by the University to a position paying a lower rate for purposes other than demotion, his/her rate shall not be reduced. This Article does not apply to a change of position as a result of the exercise of seniority rights under Article 16 (Layoffs and Recalls).
