Payment upon Separation from City Service or Death Sample Clauses

Payment upon Separation from City Service or Death. An employee separated from City service for any reason or who dies while still employed shall be paid for any unused compensatory time account balance to his/her credit upon separation or death (less applicable withholding), less any amounts owed by the employee to the City. In the event of death, the payment shall be made to the employee's surviving spouse or to the employee's estate in the event there is no surviving spouse. Such payment shall be calculated by multiplying the employee's regular hourly straight time wage rate at the time of separation or death by the number of hours in his/her compensatory time account balance.
