Common use of Payments at Termination Clause in Contracts

Payments at Termination. When permanent employees leave the service of the City, they are entitled to lump-sum payoff of vacation leave, unused floating holidays, and unused accrued cashable administrative leave days only. No claim may be made against the City for the use or payment of unused accrued sick leave, nor can the effective date of termination be extended by the use of sick leave, vacation, or other leave days.
