Penalties and Training. Business Associate understands that: (a) there may be civil or criminal penalties for misuse or misappropriation of PHI and (b) violations of this Agreement may result in notification by Covered Entity to law enforcement officials and regulatory, accreditation, and licensure organizations. If requested by Covered Entity, Business Associate shall participate in training regarding the use, confidentiality, and security of PHI.

Business Associate understands and acknowledges that violations of this BAA or PSC 21-630- 4000-00xx may result in notification by the Department to law enforcement officials and regulatory, accreditation, and licensure organizations. Onpoint understands that: (a) there may be civil or criminal penalties for misuse or misappropriation of PHI and (b) violations of this Agreement may result in notification by Covered Entity to law enforcement officials and regulatory, accreditation, and licensure organizations. If requested by Covered Entity, Onpoint shall consider participation in training regarding the use, confidentiality, and security of PHI.
