Pension Plan Eligibility for Sessional Appointments. Members with sessional appointments shall be enrolled after they have been employed for the equivalent of 700 hours or more or earned at least 35% of the yearly maximum pensionable earnings as defined by the Canada Pension Plan in the previous two calendar years. Members shall continue to remain a member of the plan as long as they are employed at the university unless they have not been employed in the previous two calendar years. Contributions and service credits continue beyond the normal retirement date as specified by the plan within limits set by the Income Tax Act.

  • Probation for Newly Hired Employees A newly hired employee shall be on probation for a period of six (6) months from the date of hiring. During the probationary period, the employee shall be entitled to all rights and benefits of this Agreement. After completion of the probationary period, seniority shall be effective from the original date of employment.

  • Probationary Appointments 22C.08 The duration of a probationary appointment for persons appointed after the signing of this Collective Agreement shall be four (4) years, unless a shorter period was stipulated in the letter of appointment.

  • Medical Appointments Medical appointments may be charged to sick leave. The employee must notify the supervisor of a medical appointment at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance except in case of emergency.

  • Provisional Appointment An employee with provisional status shall have no right to grieve or arbitrate release from such a provisional appointment.

  • TERMINATION OF APPOINTMENT 6.1 The Issuer may terminate the appointment of the Calculation Agent at any time by giving to the Calculation Agent at least 45 days' prior written notice to that effect, provided that, so long as any of the Relevant Notes is outstanding:
