Common use of Permanent Part-time Status Clause in Contracts

Permanent Part-time Status. A permanent employee may work less than twenty (20) hours and not cease to be a permanent employee merely by virtue of occasionally working less than twenty (20) hours in a weekly period. A permanent employee who works less than an average of twenty (20) hours per week over any four (4) consecutive weeks will cease to be a permanent employee. At a minimum a yearly review will be conducted to confirm permanent status.
