Permanent Transfer. An employee to a higher rated classification will receive current rate or the start rate for the new position, whichever is the greater. shall then progress through the rates of the classification as provided in Schedule "A" in accordance with hisher length of service in the classification. If the job is a lower rated classification the employee shall receive hisher current rate or the top rate for the new position, whichever is the lesser, shall be positioned on the at current service level, and shall progress from there in accordance with length of service in the classification.
