Common use of Permanent Transfers Clause in Contracts

Permanent Transfers. Where an employee accepts a permanent transfer outside of the bargaining unit, her seniority at the time of the transfer shall be retained, but no further seniority in this bargaining unit shall be accumulated while the employee is outside the bargaining unit. While she is outside of the bargaining unit, the employee shall not use her seniority within the bargaining unit for the purposes of posting into or displacing within this bargaining unit. If she returns to this bargaining unit, her seniority in this bargaining unit shall be credited to her upon her return, and she shall be placed on the wage grid according to her seniority in the bargaining unit.
