Full-Time Positions. The University and the University System institutions will post full- time vacancies on their respective websites (access through xxxx.xxxx.xxx). Teaching lecturers are encouraged to review such postings. The PSU Human Resources office will communicate all full-time teaching opportunities at PSU to the Teaching Lecturers when the position is posted. Teaching lecturers not receiving an appointment may request and will be provided formal or informal feedback for the reasons of non-appointment.
Full-Time Positions. (i) Employees on a part-time basis shall be hired to fill full-time vacant positions for which they are qualified prior to Teachers being newly employed by the Authority, provided they have requested a full-time position by application to the Authority.
(ii) If more than one employee is qualified for such assignment, the employee with the greatest seniority as defined in the agreement shall be assigned to the position.

Full-Time Positions. WITH THE UNION Upon application by the Union, in writing, the Hospital shall grant leave of absence, without pay, to an employee elected or appointed to full-time Union office. It is understood that no more than two (2) employees in the bargaining unit may be on such leave at the same time. Such leave shall be for a period of one (1) calendar year from the date of appointment unless extended for a further specific period by agreement of the parties. It is understood that no more than one (1) employee will be from the same unit of the Hospital, subject to operational requirements. Seniority shall accumulate for employees during such leave on the basis of what his normal regular hours of work would have been. Service shall accumulate for employees during such leave to the maximum provided, if any, under the provisions of the collective agreement. It will become the responsibility of the employee for full payment of any applicable benefits in which the employee is participating during such leave of absence. The employee shall notify the Hospital of his intention to return to work at least four (4) weeks prior to the date of such return. The employee shall be returned to his former duties on the same shift in the same department and at the appropriate rate of pay, subject to any changes which would have occurred had the employee not been on leave.

Full-Time Positions. A part-time employee shall have the right to claim a full-time position when one becomes available within the Employer’s operating district, based upon seniority, provided such part-time employee has the qualifications and ability with the Employer to perform the duties of the claimed position.
Full-Time Positions. The Employer will not split a full time position into two or more part time positions without the agreement of the Union. Such agreement will not be unreasonably withheld. This provision does not apply in situations where two or more part time positions have been combined to create full time hours for a specific Employee, in which case, if the Employee ceases employment, the Employer is free to separate the hours into two or more part time positions.
