Common use of Personnel Designations and Treatment of Absences Clause in Contracts

Personnel Designations and Treatment of Absences. 27.2.1 Each CCSNH institution shall be responsible for designating essential personnel and communicating that designation to such personnel at the time of an official institutional closure. Essential personnel shall be required to report to work as scheduled. Essential personnel classified as non-exempt shall receive premium compensation at the rate of two times their regular straight rate of pay for their scheduled work hours. Such premium pay shall not be cumulative to overtime wages that may otherwise be owed. Essential personnel classified as exempt shall receive their regular rate of pay/salary for time worked.
