Common use of Physical Exam Clause in Contracts

Physical Exam. 19.1 Employees covered by this Agreement may be required by the County to undergo an independent medical examination upon return to work from illness or injury in order to determine the employee’s ability to return to work, or if the County has a reasonable suspicion that the employee may suffer from a condition that could affect his or her safety, the safety of others, or his or her ability to perform. The County will bear the cost of such examination. The results of the exam will be made available to the individual employee upon written request.
