Common use of Policy and Procedures Clause in Contracts

Policy and Procedures. The City shall provide for the payment of the costs of replacing or repairing property or prostheses of an employee (which are eyeglasses, hearing aids, dentures, watches, or articles of clothing necessarily worn or carried by the employee) when any such items are lost or damaged in the line of duty without fault or neglect of the employee. If the items are damaged beyond repair, the actual value of such items will be paid within the specifications of this policy. Proof of ownership of such items must be shown in writing or by other reasonable evidence by the employee to the City, and the loss or damage to the items occurring while in the line of assigned duty must be verified by the employee's immediate supervisor.
