Common use of Policy Grievances Clause in Contracts

Policy Grievances. 31.01 Either party to this collective agreement may initiate a grievance regarding the interpretation, application, administration or alleged violation of this collective agreement. 31.02 A party initiating a policy grievance shall, within 15 Days of the act giving rise to the grievance, give notice to the other party, setting out the (a) nature of the grievance (b) date of occurrence (c) circumstances out of which the grievance arose (d) requested remedy or declaration (e) clauses in issue and (f) signature of an authorized official of the party initiating the grievance. 31.03 A grievance under this article, once served on the other party, shall constitute a notice of a request for the establishment of a Grievance Committee and the provisions of clauses 30.08 and clauses 30.17 to 30.37, inclusive, shall apply to the processing of such grievance.
