Position Definitions and Duties. .01 Course Instructor shall be defined as an individual who is assigned principal responsibility for the preparation and presentation of a course, subject to reasonable limitations associated with the approved course syllabus which should be provided at least two (2) weeks prior to the start of classes. Duties related to the position, which shall be in accordance with University and departmental practices, include lecturing, the conduct of seminars/tutorials, marking, the development and administration of tests and examinations, submission of grades, as required, and the maintenance of reasonable hours for student contact outside of scheduled hours.
